Handmade 60 mm/1:30 scale tin soldier of the Norwegian SOE/Kompani Linge agent Jan Baalsrud, wearing a dark blue British battle uniform with the rank of Second Lieutenant. The tin soldier depicts Baalsrud during his escape from the Germans shortly after the attack - where he has a gunshot wound in his right foot and is holding a Colt 45 as he flees in the snow. Jan Baalsrud was a Norwegian resistance fighter during World War II and is best known for his dramatic escape from Rebbenesøya in Karlsøy municipality to Sweden in the spring of 1943, after a failed landing attempt with the fishing boat MK "Bratholm I" which had come from Shetland. This operation was called "Operation Martin Red".
